My better half has been uptight for the past seven days.
She has an interview for her next promotion in her firm, where she works in the HR department.
She, on the other hand, is far too sceptical. There are only two posts, but they are nine.
How will she make it through when the other eight seem to be working hard and have a better position in the company than she does?
They are more knowledgeable than she is.
She is not better equipped because she is a working woman who also has to care for her home.
She’s filled with scepticism.
She is on the verge of giving up hope that she would not be selected for the interview.
At the same time, she believes that if she succeeds, it will be a significant leap forward in her career.
However, she is constantly beset by indecision.
There’s no way to stop it.
As a result, I provided her with a seven-point commitment methodology to follow.
As you may be aware, the term “commitment” evokes a strong sense of intent and focus, and it is always accompanied by a declaration of purpose or a specific plan of action.
At the very least, it will cause her to have self-doubts about committing.
The key to achieving your goal is commitment.
If you want a happy existence outside of your professional work, you must devote yourself wholeheartedly to it, and here is where so many women and men fail.
Your amount of commitment to what you’re doing will determine how successful you are at it.
The only way to be successful is to take the long road and devote 100 percent of your time and effort to your goal.
However, the route to success isn’t as simple as it appears. To get there and live the life you’ve imagined in your fantasies, you must make several promises to yourself.
Unfortunately, most people stop after the ‘wish’ portion and are unwilling to go through the anguish of committing to their dreams. That is most likely what prevents them from achieving success in any effort.
But I know you’re serious. As a result, you will continue reading to learn where you need to make adjustments in your life in order to be fully dedicated.
# Never, ever give up.
Never giving up on yourself, as cliche as it may sound, is the ultimate credo for success. You will fall down many times as you move through life. It’s quite acceptable for you to make errors and fail. Things will happen in life, but don’t let it dampen your spirits in any manner.
Keep in mind that you must have a lot of faith in yourself to achieve and become your greatest version. This unbreakable spirit will aid you in getting through these trying times. Never give up, no matter what.
# Not engaging in unethical or immoral behaviour
There are two approaches to success: easy and challenging. Taking the easy route entails doing “whatever” it takes to get there – by trick or crook. It entails taking shortcuts, obtaining favours, and engaging in immoral behaviour that contradicts one’s moral compass. The commitment now is to refrain from doing any of the aforementioned actions.
You could be lured by the prospect of getting quick results by doing something unethical. Such goods, however, always come at a cost – one that can quickly ruin everything in the blink of an eye. Remember that the road to success will put your character and dedication to the test.
# Being adaptive and continuing to learn
Adaptability and a desire to learn can go you far in life. It’s unfortunate to watch folks who are so set in their ways that they reject any fresh ideas or approaches that are offered to them. It could jeopardise their employment and general well-being.
“It is not the strongest of the species that live, nor the most clever that survives,” said Charles Darwin. It’s the one that can adapt to change the most.”
Learn as much as you can from anybody you choose since it will be something you will never lose. Never stop learning since there are usually other ways to accomplish the same goal.
# Every day, enormous action is taken.
It’s time to put your life goals into action now that you’ve decided what you want to do with your life. Regardless of how big or little your goals are, you must commit to taking huge action every single day without fail.
It all starts with mentally preparing yourself to pursue your ambitions or whatever it is you are passionate about in life. Making a plan is a good place to start. There are a plethora of planning tools available to assist you. When creating your action plan, make sure to tailor it to your own requirements and strengths.
Don’t be too casual or ambitious when it comes to them.
Make your goals as realistic as possible so that you are motivated to take enormous action on them every day without fail.
# Keeping a healthy work-life balance
My wife is a working woman, so work-life balance is a critical consideration for her. Do you have any idea what the most important item in your life is? It’s all about your well-being. Everything in your life is dependent on your physical and mental health, whether directly or indirectly.
Don’t get too caught up in working hard that you forget about your health. If you’ve worked nonstop for 40 hours, it’s only natural to give your body the rest it needs. If you work on weekends, make an effort to spend at least a few hours with your loved ones to replenish your batteries.
# Willingness to sleepless nights and the courage to say NO
Those who are willing to go to any length to achieve achievement are more likely to succeed. Not only would you have to work your tail hard, but you might also have to say no to a few things that don’t align with your objectives.
On weekends, it may be tempting to go shopping or hang out with friends, but working on your startup or writing your next blog is what will make a real impact. If you have to work during the day, the only way to work on your dream is to lose some sleep.
Also, start saying NO more frequently. Saying no to friends may take a lot of courage, but it will make your life more successful and happier than theirs.
# Having faith in yourself
Before others begin to believe in you, you must first believe in yourself. Whatever you want to accomplish, make sure you believe in yourself and are confident in your abilities to do so.
The issue is that people tend to undervalue their abilities, which prevents them from realising their full potential. Take a notebook and jot out your talents, unique qualities, biggest successes, and accomplishments. Read them aloud every morning. This simple strategy can help you build your self-confidence.
Bottom Line:
Once you’ve overcome the first setback or overcome the early blockages, you’ll feel energised and confident in your ability to regard any subsequent difficulties as a task to be overcome in order to continue on your path to higher goals.
